Strange Gain is proud to present STOKED theatre festival, a three-night festival of international short plays to be held at Stage B (Maggie's Bar) in Stoke Newington from November 29th - December 1st. STOKED will give audiences the chance to see a trio of premieres (one world premiere and two UK premieres) showcasing new writing and emerging London talent in Stoke Newington's most intimate and exciting venue.

The ethos of STOKED is to seek out and nurture small companies whose work is bravely ambitious in scope but pared down in scale. STOKED is a chance for companies working at the edge of the industry to show bare, raw work to a close and intimate audience. The festival celebrates the necessity of live performance and eschews technology in favour of the present actor. It is a forum created by and for young theatre companies, promoting collaboration and mutual learning. STOKED is committed to producing extremely affordable theatre, in the hope of increasing accessibility for both performers and audience alike.
